AP State Sanitation Strategy

Sanitation for the purpose of Andhra Pradesh State Sanitation Strategy (AP SSS) is defined as safe management of human excreta, including its safe confinement treatment, disposal and associated hygiene-related practices. The AP SSS recognizes primacy to integral solutions that covers sub sectors of solid waste, waste water (including septage), storm water drainage and drinking water.

The Sanitation Project, together with the cities, has developed tools and reference material for each of the steps and focal areas of the Public Toilet Management (PTM) Process as listed below. Moreover, definitions and abbreviations have been added under General.

About The Project

The project, Support to National Urban Sanitation Policy (SNUSP) – II, seeks to support the Indian government in the implementation of its sanitation improvement schemes and missions such as National Urban Sanitation Policy (NUSP).
